Square and Compasses Waving Saltire

Presentation to FDAMH

On Thursday 27th September 2018 WSW Jim Bennie, Daniel Gallacher and John Curry of Lodge Polmont No 793 had the pleasure of presenting a cheque to Morag Fullard volunteer and training development coordinator at FDAMH, Falkirk's Mental Health association. The cheque for £300 was raised at the Squaremen Mither Shed Meeting at Lodge Polmont in April. The meeting supported by brethren from lodges throughout the district is a charity event specifically for local charities.

Morag gave an insight to their work carried out throughout Falkirk District supporting individuals. FDAMH is an independent mental health charity serving Falkirk and District, established in 1981. Their mission is to promote mental wellbeing by providing a range of services.

FDAMH is a membership organisation managed by a Board of Directors that are elected by their membership. Board members come from all walks of life: professionals, carers and service users. People do not require to be members to use FDAMH’s services.

Only having 26 members of staff volunteers, around 100, are central to FDAMH’s activities. Contributing as befrienders, counselors, providing administrative support and working with staff on several projects. They are always looking for volunteers.
